All tips so far have assumed a clean win. And that's deliberate. Our Pups are positive about life and we're positive about this draft test thing. I know it's really just an excuse to do some partnering with my dog, that's reward in iteself. But it would really be cool to certify.
But I was wondering, "I'm enrolled on both Saturday and Sunday. If we don't pass an exercise on Saturday, it would be great if I could turn it into a positive learning experience that would increase our chance of doing better on the second day."
From Section 2 -- Failed Exercises and Rejudging:
During the draft test, judges may permit a handler to assist his dog in completing a failed exercise. Only gentle guidance by the dog's collar is permitted as discipline.
Cool. So I guess the thing is, it won't hurt to ask.
