Mystic Seaport Water Rescue Demo 20May2012

We had a great time at NCNE's water rescue demo at Mystic Seaport this weekend.  The dogs were, in general, a bit rusty since we haven't really begun our water training season yet, but they were awesome none-the-less!  Let's see, we had Keith/Parker, Dejah/Tipper, Molly/Nellie, Erin/Brenna, Kathy/Birdie, and Lori/Tally and the support of many more including Mark and Liz manning the boat.  We caught a few pics to share.

Lori and Tally.  Look at that focus on the bumper!

"Get your own!!!"

Beej looking on.  She was not only our extra newf holder but also was the photographer for all the shots (except this one of course!)

Erin did an awesome job working Brenna who was crazy fast after her bumper.  The rest of the time was dedicated to texting some guy in Michigan. . . .  ;-)

Molly and Lori taking a break before the next demo.

What a lovely place!

And Steve really knows how to engage a crowd.  His narrating abilities were awesome.  We had the kids helping to beach the boat and then throwing bumpers for the dogs at the end.

Dejah is getting Tipper to focus on that boater who looks like he's about to need some assistance.

And here Molly and Nellie are demonstrating the take-a-line exercise.

Birdie took the life ring out to save Erin.

And towed her back safely to shore.
