Thank you Suzanne and Donny for hosting our very first Christmas party! A wonderful time was had by all. The Yankee Swap was really fun! How many people can say they got a painted pooper scooper for Christmas! Functional AND artistic! The food and friends will be remembered for a long time! - A Brace Coupler permits two dogs to be walked side-by-side on one lead.
- CD -- Companion Dog is the title earned when the dog successfully qualifies in the Novice class at 3 obedience trials.
- DD -- NCA Draft Dog title: cart work by a single dog (obedience, maneuvering, freight haul work)
- ILP/PAL stands for Indefinite Listing Privileges/Purebred Alternative Listing. It is how you register a dog with AKC that doesn't have official AKC registration status. It allows you to participate in obedience, rally, agility and working dog events but is not sufficient for showing in the breed ring. So that is how rescues are listed so that they can participate.
- Newfpendous -- A performance by a Newfer that is truly excellent or a great performance by a bunch of newfs.
- VN -- Versatile Newfoundland title is awarded by the Newfoundland Club of America to those dogs that achieve their Championship in Conformation; Companion Dog title in Obedience; Draft Dog and Water Rescue Dog.
- WABR - Winners and Bragging Rights, also sometimes simply called "Brags"
